WineScience.com is owned and operated by JBC International, a trade-consulting firm based in Washington, DC. JBC International has been serving the US wine industry since 1984.

The idea behind WineScience.com was created by Wine Institute and the California Association of Wine Grape Growers (CAWG). With more and more of their members exporting, Wine Institute and CAWG thought it was important that their members be informed about the regulations governing the import of wine. Wine Institute and CAWG contracted JBC International to create a source for international wine regulations, and WineScience.com was born.
